About the NGO
The message of Interfaith is one that is increasingly relevant to modern life. Through the Religion- and Spirituality-related committees of ECOSOC at the United Nations, NGOs like The New Seminary are able to engage in networking, dialogue, and action with an international focus on peace and tolerance.
Graduates of The New Seminary work in many fields of interfaith, and have offered counseling, spiritual events, worship services, and presentations on subjects of peace and peacemaking. Working with the United Nations Church Center, the New Seminary NGO offers sacred circles, cosponsors worship services, and spreads the word about works that span multiple religious and cultural perspectives.
In 2006, the New Seminary NGO launched its major project, Faces of God, an interfaith art exhibition. Artists from across the globe are invited to submit works on the theme of personal faith and action. Seventy-five works will be selected for exhibition at the United Nations, and nine winners will receive monetary awards and transportation to a fundraising reception at the UN in New York.
As we look to the future, the New Seminary NGO continues as a leader in interfaith education and action.
